1 - Ask them to think of a number, between one and ten. Tell them that you want to make sure that their number really is random, so you are going to ask them to do some simple calculations.

2 - Tell them to double their number.

3 - Now add eight to the new number.

4 - Now half the new number.

5 - Now take away the original number.

6 - Whatever number they are left with, ask them to convert it into a letter. If their number is one, their letter is A, two converts to B, three to C, four to D, and so on.

7 - Now ask them to think of a country beginning with that letter.

8 - Ask them to spell the country in their heads. Using the second letter of the country, ask them to think of an animal beginning with that letter.

9 - If they have been following your instructions they will be thinking of an Elephant in Denmark - and you will be given so much credit for your psychic prowess you can set up your own cult.
